The collaborative work shown here has been termed "shard de verre" by Fritz Dreisbach. Multi-colored pieces of glass are picked up and layered on a clear base form, the piece is shaped by the glassblower and Tomas as they are working. Once the form has cooled, Tomas engraves through the layers to create dense images and textures that are completely unique to each piece. Hundreds of hours can go into producing one finished work of art.
